Wendy’s Graduation Picks

WendysPickHeaderAround this time of year, I often get asked to help plan and decorate for graduation parties. No worries. A graduation party is one of the easiest to plan and to create a unique setting and feel. No two graduates are alike and therefore, no two graduation parties should be alike. Whether a mid morning brunch, lunch, dinner or evening bash, it is easy to create a party with your graduate’s personality in mind.

Here are a few of my favorite products

PB302Y - Chalkboard Grad Banner

1) Photo Banner: A photo banner is the perfect way to set the stage. It doesn’t matter if you are the scrapbook mom or the stuff the photos in the drawer mom, find the perfect photos and we can blow them up to share with one and all. Capture your child through the years.

KSSCKB - Corkboard Grad Standee

2) Photo Standee: I love, love, love the Corkboard Grad Standee. It is a great way to share your Grad’s personality with your guests. Include individual photos, photos with best friends, family photos, trip trinkets, activity photos, medals you name it.

KSSLTL - Mini Photo Standee

3) Mini Photo Standee: Really like this one for a table centerpiece. Perhaps the first day of school, a sports photo, senior prom you decide – have the same for each table or create a mini photo standee centerpiece that is different for each table. Maybe one table can be elementary school, one middle school and one high school.

CANCGRD - Grad Photo Mint Tin

4) Photo Mint Tins: A wonderful favor and memento for all your guests and one they can use. Place your favorite grad photo on the top. Keep the mints inside, or fill with a few of your grad’s favorite mini treats – such as m&ms, skittles or sunflower seeds.

imp-napkins

5) Imprinted Napkins: Always order a few too many so you can remember the party the following week as you use up the napkins (they never go out of date).  Try a favorite saying or quote on the napkins or simply the graduation date and school.  All in the school colors.

balloons

6) Balloons:  A party isn’t a party without a few balloons.  Very affordable and they cover a great deal of space.  I usually recommend school colors (although favorite grad colors can always be used too.)  Use the selected colors to create balloon bouquets – adding a nice mylar graduation cap balloon to each bouquet.  Use the colors of the balloons/school colors throughout your decorating for plates, napkins, table covers, invites and banner type and borders.
